Pergo-E vs Pergo-T600, side by side

Same DNA. Different engineered load.

If you're putting a pergola over a backyard patio, Pergo-E is the right call. If you're putting one near the shore, over a pool, on a windy hilltop, or in a hospitality setting, Pergo-T600 is the heavier frame you want.

Engineered features, standard on both lines

What makes a Pergola Pros install last.

Eight engineered features come standard on both Pergo-E and Pergo-T600. These are the reasons the install holds up where a builder-grade aluminum kit does not.

6063-T6 alloy throughout

The industry standard is 6063-T5. We carry the T6 grade. T600 adds thicker 3mm beam and post walls for the higher load rating.

AkzoNobel powder coating

Hospital and marine grade. Resists salt spray, UV, and freeze-thaw. 5-year warranty on Pergo-E, 10-year warranty on Pergo-T600.

Anti-leak gutter and hidden drainage

Water sheets across closed louvers into the perimeter beam, then drains down through the column to grade. No exterior downspout, no ponding.

0 to 100 degree continuous rotation

Open for breeze, partial for filtered sun, fully closed and sealed for rain. Smooth continuous A-OK motor positioning, not preset stops.

Rubber seals on every blade

Eliminates wind chatter at high speeds and stops rain ingress between adjacent blades. Standard on both Pergo-E and Pergo-T600.

180 to 220 km/h wind, 60 to 100 cm snow (T600)

Pergo-T600 carries the engineered loading rating. Built to install at the Shore, on elevated decks, and in northern NJ snow load zones without de-rating.

CE-certified IP67 motor

Motor housing is fully sealed against water ingress. Mounted inside the beam, not exposed. No external control box, no visible wiring runs.

Up to 15 years on structure

Pergo-T600 carries the longest manufacturer warranty in the motorized pergola category, matching or beating Azenco, Renson, and StruXure on every line.

Buyer questions

What every NJ buyer asks. Answered.

How much does a motorized pergola cost in New Jersey?

Our Pergo-E motorized aluminum pergola starts at $8,900 installed for the smaller wall-mounted footprint (9.41 by 9.97 ft). Pergo-T600 custom pergolas start at $19,400 installed for a standard mid-size bay (around 13 by 16 ft). Final price depends on size, color, and add-ons. Most buyers land between $11,000 and $28,000 for a full motorized aluminum install in NJ.

What's the price difference between Pergo-E and Pergo-T600?

Pergo-E starts at $8,900 installed for a smaller wall-mounted footprint. Pergo-T600 starts at $19,400 installed for a standard mid-size bay. The gap reflects the heavier engineered frame on T600 (3mm-thick beam and post, SUS brackets, 180 to 220 km/h wind rating). For a backyard patio, Pergo-E. For a poolside install or wind-loaded site, Pergo-T600 is engineered for it.

How does the louvered roof actually work?

The roof is a set of aluminum blades (louvers) that tilt simultaneously from fully open (90+ degrees, full sun and breeze through) to fully closed (sealed flat, rain runs across the surface into the gutter). Range of motion is 0 to 100 degrees continuous. The motor sits inside the perimeter beam, the linkage is internal, and the controls are the app, the remote, or the manual crank.

Can I control the louvers from my phone?

Yes. Every Pergo-E and Pergo-T600 ships with the Tuya all-in-one smart app for iOS and Android. You can open and close louvers, schedule them against weather, set angle presets, and link the pergola to Alexa, Google Home, or Apple HomeKit voice control. Motorized remote and manual crank backups included.

Will it work in NJ snow loads?

Pergo-T600 carries a 60 to 100 cm snow loading rating, which covers every NJ snow load zone including the higher-elevation northwestern townships. We recommend opening the louvers slightly during heavy accumulation to let snow shed through rather than pile on the closed roof; the app lets you set this automatically when storm conditions are forecast.

How long does pergola installation take?

From signed contract to completed install, the median is about 30 days. That includes township permit pulled, materials delivered, install scheduled, on-site assembly (2 to 3 hours for a Pergo-E, half a day for a Pergo-T600), and final inspection.

Do I need a permit for a pergola in NJ?

In most NJ townships, yes. Pergolas over 200 square feet, or any pergola attached to the house, almost always need a building permit and zoning approval. Free-standing pergolas under 200 square feet are sometimes exempt. We pull every permit on your behalf as part of the install.

What is the warranty on a Pergola Pros install?

Pergo-E carries a 5-year warranty on the motor and AkzoNobel powder coating. Pergo-T600 carries a 15-year structural warranty, 10-year coating warranty, and 5-year motor warranty. On top of the manufacturer warranty, Pergola Pros backs the labor for the life of the install.
